Queen Elsa 3D Painting

3D Shaving Cream Paintings are so much fun! I gave each of the kids a muffin tin, some shaving cream, and some liquid watercolors and let them at it.

This is definitely a messy activity, but the kids absolutely loved it. They mixed colors, created swirls, and experimented with different amounts of shaving cream and paint.

As part of our Letter Q preschool activities with a Frozen/Elsa theme, this was the perfect hands-on art project. The texture of the shaving cream paint is what makes it so exciting for little ones — they can feel the puffiness and see the colors blend in a whole new way.

How to Set Up

Fill muffin tin cups with shaving cream. Add drops of liquid watercolors to each cup. Give kids paintbrushes or let them use their fingers. Provide thick paper or cardstock for painting on. Let dry — the paint puffs up as it dries!

The best part about this activity is that there's no wrong way to do it. Every painting turns out unique and beautiful.
