Queen Elsa Castle Building Preschool Activity
I love watching the creativity and problem-solving skills of these kids flourish and grow. They all had so much fun building a castle for Queen Elsa and friends while they ate (too many!) marshmallows.
This was a simple activity to set up and execute. I simply gave each kid a tray with mini marshmallows, sugar cubes, and toothpicks. For fun, I added glitter and stones from some of the other activities we did.
It took a little adult guidance to help the kids figure out how to hold the marshmallows to stick the toothpicks in, but once they figured that out, they were good to go. We had good conversations about how to make their structure more stable — larger on the bottom so that they could build it higher.
While they worked, we had a very enlightening conversation about Queens and their castles, as one can only have with three preschool girls.

Wade also eventually got bored building the castles, so he bulldozed his. He loves tractors more than anything.
